Paintball Scenario GamesPaintball.Scenario Games: Injecting Creativity into Your FunYou may have heard of paintball scenario games, maybe in passing while you’re planning your capture-the-flag paintball games and free-for-all campaigns. But you’ve never played one. Why? Paintball scenario games require some real planning, not just running out and playing a paintball game. Paintball scenario games require someone to plan a scenario: terrorists have captured a key military installation, for instance. You may have specific key characters played by either players or by “civilians,” planners of the game who are acting. Many paintballers who play scenario games wear appropriate costumes, set up their weapons to resemble weapons appropriate to the scenario, and even get into the character they’re supposed to be playing – commando, terrorist, cop. Each player in a paintball scenario game has a specific role to play, whether it’s as the standard sniper or squad leader or something more complex like medic, bridge builder, or transportation specialist. And every player has special abilities built into that role, giving you more to play with when formulating paintball tactics Paintball Strategy in Scenario GamesPaintball scenario games require some very different paintball strategies than regular paintball games. For instance, paintball scenario games may allow some special tactics you won’t find in free-for-all games like buried claymore mines and paintball grenades. For the most part, though, you’ll use very similar tactics as in regular paintball games. You’ll have snipers and specialists, full-scale onslaughts, and surprise maneuvers. The biggest difference is that you’ll have to incorporate the paintball scenario game rules into your strategies. You should make certain you take advantage of all the specialist abilities available to you in paintball scenario games. There are a few roles that are pretty standard in these paintball games, so the more scenario games you play the more you’ll understand about the strategy inherent in them. If you look at some of the large paintball organization websites, you’ll find synopses of several paintball scenario games they’ve used, and that may help you study strategies and roles. Paintball Games with Scenarios: How Do They Work?Typically, paintball scenario games are run by someone associated with a large organization. They require large-scale planning and often many key personnel, and sometimes come with a cash prize for the team that wins. Score is determined by how many key goals your team accomplishes, and often by a number of other variables such as how many casualties you suffer and inflict on the other team. Read the rules carefully, and incorporate an understanding of them into your paintball strategy. Most paintball scenario games require an entry fee to participate, and can last anywhere from 12 hours to an entire weekend, playing day and night. If you’re interested in paintball scenario games, check with some of the larger local organizations in your area; or ask at the shop where you purchase your paintball supplies. You’ll be able to find one near you. Related Paintball ProductsFeatured Products: Spyder
