The Spyder Paintball Gun

Spyder paintball guns come in a few different forms, but one that’s been consistently rated as a great semiautomatic blowback is the Kingman Spyder Xtra. It’s fast, it’s not hard to maintain, and it’s there when you need it. Best of all, it’s relatively inexpensive, costing generally under a hundred dollars when comparable-quality paintguns cost twice that. It comes with a really good stock barrel, but sometimes has a little trouble with its CO2 chamber. Once you have a Spyder paintball gun Xtra, you can generally upgrade its body in a large variety of ways to improve performance above its already high standard.

Even less expensive Spyder paintball guns are the Spyder Victor series. Just like the Xtra, the Victor is easy to maintain and dependable, and also shoots pretty fast. It doesn’t come with a great barrel, so you may want to upgrade. But overall, it’s an excellent choice and, since it’s so inexpensive, you can afford to upgrade it to what you want.

For a nifty electric paintball gun, you can try the Spyder E-99. The E-99, priced very reasonably, can reach at least 13 paintballs per second when in full autofire. Along with this Spyder paintball gun, you’ll get a years warranty, manual, barrel plug, some o-rings, and allen wrenches. You will need to purchase a 9 volt battery in order to use your Spyder E-99.

If you do go with Spyder paintball guns, you should avoid using PMI paintballs in them; they are prone to chopping and sticking, and it stinks to have to spend half the day cleaning your gun instead of shooting at your friends.

Spyder Paintball Gun Disadvantages

Spyder paintball guns are blowback guns – that is, they have a little kick to them when you shoot them. This blowback can mess up your aim, but it's just something you have to get used to and it won't influence your aiming.
